Professional Skills and Experience

Event Management - Everything from a single day conference for 80 people, to a three day conference for over 1,000 people. Music events, sponsored walks, Light up a Life (Lights of Love) and many more!

Project Management - From new website development and implementation and new database integration projects to opening new charity shops and overseeing large-scale moving projects. I have experience of managing third party contractors and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Policy and Strategy Writing - I have written policies on fundraising, retail, fundraising ethics, health and safety, and social media, as well as staff charters.

Code of Fundraising Practice Audits - I conduct audits into my clients' fundraising policies and processes against "the Code" and provide a full report detailing where they are compliant and what evidence they have to prove it, and where they fall short and how they can remedy that. This is particularly useful as a tool for Trustees to give them reassurance that your fundraising is legal, open, honest, and respectful.

This is me!
I’m an honest and positive professional whose first priority is always to support UK charities, predominantly but not exclusively, hospices, to raise as much money as possible. 
For over twelve years I held senior leadership roles in income generation for two north west hospices. I have a proven track record in increasing income, finding new opportunities, and hiring, training, and developing fundraisers to be as effective as possible. 
In 2021 I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin Lymphoma and underwent chemotherapy for five months. After my treatment ended I was struggling with fatigue and decided to take some time out to recuperate and reevaluate what I want from my career.
That’s when I decided to help as many good causes as possible using the knowledge and skills I’ve acquired in over a decade in fundraising and even longer in marketing. 

I am a Trustee for Together Dementia Support in Manchester, a cause close to my heart having had both nans struggle with the disease.

Hobbies, Passions and Interests

I love to read, anything from classics like Pride and Prejudice to modern crime thrillers. I also love being outdoors and can be found most mornings walking my dog around our local reservoir. I have been learning Greek for a number of years and can hold a conversation, read and write in this beautiful (if not difficult) language! Καλή μέρα και τις καλύτερες ευχες σε ολους.
